Looking for a nice place to have a little break between sightseeing and shopping? Want to chill with your friends between university courses? If so, visit bakery ‘Sparre’ !
There’s one right in the city centre in the Kröpeliner Straße that’ll offer you a good selection of bakery products and little snacks. You can choose between sweet and filling, they also sell different sorts of breadrolls and bread like all commom bakeries in Germany usually do. To satisfy your thirst, you have the choice between some cooled softdrinks, a selection of tea, and different kinds of coffee drinks like Latte Macchiato, hot chocolate or cappuccino.
The bakery has a few tables inside, but if the weather allows it, it’s a great place to sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle in the pedestrian area of the city of Rostock.
In a rush? Don’t have enough time to sit down for a while? Take your snack! – all products are also available to take away.
I definitely recommend you to try out the so-called Streuselschnecke (‘crumble snail’). But don’t be deterred from the name – it’s just about the round snail-like shape of it!
Interest aroused? Come and try what you want to try and see for yourself! If you are a student, don’t forget to show the staff your student ID – they’ll allow you a 20% discount!!
