The WickiWackiWoo

It is me again!

Today I am going to recommend something that I originally did not plan to post here. But the word on the street is that the once famous WickiWackiWoo is closing this year. This made me write this review for you to enjoy this phenomenon of cocktail-bar.

What made the bar special in the first place was the sheer quantity of products they offered; the menu was the biggest I have ever seen. Unfortunately the menu was reduced to a fracture of what it originally was. The original  menu with its endless pages of different cocktail-variations are now a mere six pages. What, at first, seems like a step down from former days may have been a great decision. The staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with the quantity of  stuff they have to be able present, so losing some of the more obscure drinks speeds up the arrival of the order a big deal.

These are my impressions in points:

Is it easy to find the place?

Good location for future plans?

Quality and Friendliness of staff?

Cost / Performance-Ratio?

Comfortable ambience?

Variety of Products?

Was it easy to get a table?

All in all you can say that it is one of the best cocktail-bars with some of the best cocktails in Rostock. The loss of some cocktails benefits the busy staff and the waiting customer. If the rumors are true, Rostock loses a great place to go to and people who have not been there yet should definitely visit it asap.

  1. Oh no, it’s going to close?! They made the best “sex on the beach” and potato wedges in the world! You are right, it’s a great loss to the cocktail-“empire” 🙁
